What one thing did you add or change you wish you did as soon as you got your boat.

And how long did it take you to get it.

I added a few things immediately but IMO the most important was a boarding ladder. I haven't need it (yet) but at some point I probably will.

Is it hard to get back in a bass boat (bass tracker)? I was thinking of taking a dip the other day but didnt have shorts so decided against it....wondering if that was a GREAT decision after reading this! lol

Here is what I have in my boat toolbox.

vise grips, needle nose pliers, linesman pliers, side cutters, zap straps, electrical tape, latex gloves, multi screw driver, multimeter, crescent wrench, spare fuses, headlamp, spare batteries (AA, AAA, CR2032 for various remotes etc)

That`ll be enough to get you out of most issues :)

extra prop, nut, and pin for the trolling motor. Don't forget the spring if you have a hotfoot. Duct tape and WD40 are always a good idea.

Spare prop for the OB and stuff to change it. I threw a blade dodging a sleepy duck half way down a pretty good sized lake. No Bueno....

Depends on how old you are and what kind of shape you're in. When I was 35, 150 and lean...no problem. At 66, 185...no way in hell without assistance. You CAN climb up on the foot, but it's tricky and not really safe, especially if you have a sharp prop.

As stated above spare fuses. They will go at the worst time. Not that any time is good but when you are not close to the ramp they will go. Carry spares they are cheap.

Thanks for your thoughts. I have a second pp, Ultrex, point one, second console added, 2 factory chairs added, tool box with most of updatelee’s list.

still need boost box, googles, extra trolling motor prop and main prop. Probably updated electronics after I learn how to use the elites.

We fish a lot of shallow river stuff so the bobs hydro jack plate was the best thing I added.
