In mid october, it should be considerably less busy, if not a ghost town.....Which should make for a lot less boat traffic. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

I am sure these are some fine places. But there are dozens and dozens of great lake towns everywhere. In the Southeast, just about every large city (except Memphis) has a fine lake.
Interesting to see all of the picks were on the north side of the states.
