    Cleaning up oil?????

Power Pole hose busted in the splash well area and sprayed oil on the carpet. What is the best way to clean the oil out of the carpet?
Has anyone upgraded to the new hose style?

I fished in 30 mph winds anchored down in the rough stuff all but one spot got clean with the hundreds of gallons running over the transom. I am planning on setting the area and putting some dawn dish soap on it gentle rub then heavy rinse 10 minutes later, as well as some dawn in the hull and 10 gallons for the road to the lake

the dawn soap should work. I used simple green to clean mine up. It worked really well and it is "bio-deg"

The fluid is bio and is not as hard to clean as one would think. As suggested try Dawn for carpet.

Would this also apply to hydraulic steering fluid?

Could, but I don't believe the steering oil is biodegradable and will be much more set in the stain.

If it is stubborn I would spray a liberal amount of simple green and goo gone on it al let it set for 10 minutes with gently rubbing, but it may just spread out the stain

Castrol Super Clean. If you need to remove dirt and oil, there is nothing better.
