    2002 20' 6" Intimidator hull design question

I am looking at a 2002 20'6" (to my knowledge) dual console Intimidator. Are there any hull design differences between the Intimidator and the regular Gambler hull? If there are not hull design differences, what differentiates the Intimidator from the Gambler? I had an older 206 that was a very dry ride and handled rough water well. I guess I'm wondering how the newer hull compares. Any insight would be much appreciated.

So to correct my initial post after some research; It appears that it is a 2002 Intimidator 2000 which would make it 20' 1" in length. Can anyone tell me how the ride etc. differs from the Gambler 2100 other than being 6" shorter? Is the slight length difference noticeable. I know that the Intimidator 2000 is only rated for a 235 and the 2100 is rated for a 250 but I'm not concerned about that.

    I’ve owned 2 2100’s with 250s....
my dad has an Intimidator 2000 2001 model... it came with a strong 225 Efi from factory and witha 27 trophy was a cold water 78mph boat... fished great...
however in comparison to my 2100, it doesn’t handle rough water nearly as well...just like my 2100 probably isn’t as good as a 2200 or a sterling in the rough stuff... simple weight/length deal...

BUT I also had a 2003 1900 Outlaw, and the Intimidator certainly rides better than it...

    I've had 2 Intimidator 2000 DC 2001 and 2005
both had the ZR2 package, extra stripe, hydraulic steering, hydraulic jack plate(Bob's 6" with 2" spacers), and trim tabs.

Both with the 2001 Merc 225 EFI 77-79 tour load, 81.3 best ever both with Powertech TRO4-27 prop.

I fish Great Lakes, Champlain, and Finger Lakes mostly.

The Intimidator 20'-1" hull with tabs handles big water well, better than most other brands of that size.

Learning how to drive it utilizing the trim, tabs, and plate make it a great big water riding boat.

PS: But no comparison to my Sterling 22!

Thanks for the info JAZII. The Sterling is out of the budget right now...lol...and I don't really tournament fish anymore. Just fish with the kids. Right now my 7 year old daughter loves going. I figure I should take advantage of it when I can.
