    I've heard the blue LED to indicate power on the Ultrex can really light up the boat at night.

    the green spot lock led is worse. green is really bright

    I have red bluewater led strips with no dimmer and don't have any issues. Can always add a dimmer later if needed.

    I have blue lights. I must use a dimmer, damn they are bright. But they look good and can see everything in the boat.

    went with green here and a dimmer, you can turn them down really low, enough to clearly know where the edges of the deck are, but not affect vision. I used oznium dimmers, they seem stout, make no noise, seem to be fine.
