    Lakes south of Nashville

Looking for a lake to meet a guy at and test drive a boat to buy. Ill be coming south on 65 and he'll be coming north. Nashville is nearly the middle point for us, so are there any lakes close to 65 30 minutes to an hour south of nashville. Thanks for any reccomendations

Percy Priest or Old Hickory are both in Nashville. There is nothing south of Nashville on 65 until you hit TN river.

Middle Tennessee is short of lakes south of Nashville since the environmentalists used a damned snail darter to stop TVA's construction of an almost completed.Columbia Dam.

On the southeast side, Tims Ford Lake is a few miles south of Lynchburg and Tullahoma. Normandy Lake is just north of Jim Beam and Tullahoma. That's about it.

Any lake south of Nashville will be closer to 24 than 65.

Woods is not much of a lake to do a test drive. Tims Ford is 30-45 minutes away (toward Chattanooga) and a much better test drive location.
