    Places to Eat in Slidell

We’ll be in Slidell this weekend for a baseball tournament. Will any of y’all recommend some good places to eat?

I stopped at La Pines by chance one day. Good food and reasonable prices. Saw a poster on the wall that they were on Diners, Drive Inns and Dives.

If u have a chance to change clothes Sal & Judy’s in lacombe is one of our favorite restaurants. (We are big foodies and eat all over) Gotta try the crab claws for app (entree size), lamb chops, trout meunière, bone in veal chop are all excellent choices. But u need to call TODAY at 5pm for a reservation.

Lots of chain restaurants in Slidell.

I asked the wife.. she’s from Slidell. I’ll update in a few with all her info

    edit:
    Youngs
    Palmettos
    Southside cafe
    Michael's
    Nathan's
Kys - good roast beef poboy
    Restaurant Cote
    Lee's hamburgers
    Marina cafe
    TLeblancs
    The blind tiger
I’ll add in pecks. They have decent fried food and give u a ton for super cheap. I get take out from here often when we are at the in laws

Bonnie C's and Southside Café, both are close to SBBA fields if that's where your playing.

Thanks for the tips guys. We are playing at the SBBA Complex, so we’ll check out one of the closest spots.

I just moved from Slidell a few months ago...

    1. South side cafe..
    2. Phil’s marina cafe (get the royal reds. And try the crabmeat augratin)
    3. Bonnie C’s is good home style cooking
    4. Speckled T’s (great fried seafood with very generous portions)
    5. Times grill (good burgers, clubs, apps/finger foods)

I forgot about blind tiger.. it popped up new while I was working out of state but tried it a couple times recently... it’s good, but the atmosphere is better than the food..

we do speckled t’s often. My wife’s family lives in the neighborhood next to it. Stick to the fried food though. I’ve gotten a stuffed flounder that was absolutely terrible and they should have been embarrassed of their efforts. It’s fun to go when there is a good band

We ended up playing till 10:30 Saturday night, so we ordered a pizza to take to the room. Sunday we didn’t have time for any decent lunch before the games, so we ate at Panera Bread. The only good thing was I went to Sportsman Warehouse. That place is awesome!

Haven’t been there. Guess that’s something that I can drag the inlaws to when they want to drag me shopping lol
