Look at the executive order # U-W-008-0315 & U-W-008-0318. Both list the H250A & H250H. Your looking at the 200 & 225 where they use a non HO model regular 250hp for "the worst case model engine".

    The 300hp is listed having 220KW/295HP &452NM/333ftlb

Obviously the 250HO could not qualify to be under the family of a standard 200,225, 250 non HO. It has to be under a standard 300 non-HO. Not the cleanest and has little room for improvement. The Yamaha is the least difficult to improve and Merc has been working on catalytic convertors for the past 5yrs. So it is relatively easy to figure out what will happen in the future. The G2 will go up in price until it is replaced and the rest will get cleaner.

I’ve got about 2 hours on my G2 so can’t help you out much. I will say I am happy with it so far and it is much quieter than I expected.

I was set to get a sho or pro fourstroke as I wanted to stick with what I knew but with a 10 year warranty, I really couldn’t say no.

Oil use actually seems to be decent so far. When it gets better after break in, I’m hoping to be really impressed.

These engines are very complicated engines , lots of electronics , water and electronics not a good mix . I know all outboards have electronics these days but these have more than most . Long term ?????? There track record is not good . Resale value due to reputation is low , once again question of long term reliability isn't known with the G2 . Have a friend that has already blown a 250 . Fichts were a problem for more than 2 years and for the fellow that has one 18 years old and wants a G2 as soon as it dies will probably get his wish soon . Lot of money for an engine from a company that has a bad track record with reliability .

Don't confuse BRP with OMC, they haven't been the same company since 2001. BRP has an outstanding record in all phases of recreational products.

Why Evinrude has been around over one hundred years. they were the first outboard produced. BRP produces many recreational products from the Can-Am Spyder, Ski-Doo Snowmobiles, Lynx Snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft, and the Can-Am off road vehicles.

Maybe the G2's. I'll give them credit but not the gen 1. I will say they (gen 1) were better than HPDI's though
