Very Dangerous, whole trees and trash everywhere. Muddy and out of the banks. Creeks may not be that bad.

Went out Thursday (yesterday) and the trip to Chickamuxen from Leesylvania was OK at 1045 with high tide at 1500, with only a few floaters at the entrance and yes, the river is really a mud hole. Water in the back of the Chic a little bit better, but not great. Managed only one dragging a green pumpkin gold fleck worm in an hour after trying a variety of baits. Came out of the Chick at 1300 to go up to the Mattawoman and encountered a sea of debris, some really big, all the way to the entrance of the Mattawoman. No wake speed all the way with crap banging off the metal hull. Going into the Mattawoman it extended into the creek at least 200 yds and more mud. At this point I said screw it and returned to Leesylvania at no wake speed dodging big floaters in the main river. Nice day though.

Think this will be better by Monday? I was planning a trip to the Mattawoman next week but I can cancel if it will still be a mess.

The muddy water bothers the fisherman more than the fish here. The floaters, that's not a fish catching issue.

From Leesylvania, was good 3/4 of the way over to Mattawoman. Floaters, yes, but eased through with no problem at idle. Stained water did not bother them, to include the big snakehead that will be on the dinner table in a few hours.
