    What is leaking?

Hello, I just noticed something slowly running out of this pin hole to the right of the bolt in the pic. Motor is not running or anything. It is just sitting there and its leaking...This is on this 92 75 hp d75 that I just picked up. It smells like gas...this scares the crap out of me...please help...Thanks

Where in relation to the motor is this? To me it looks like it's part of the lower unit and maybe there's a bad seal/o-ring on the case screw that needs replaced.

This is the lower unit. Right by the flush bolt. But there is a small hole to the right of that flush bolt. It is only coming out of that little hole...it is not leaking from a bolt...

Not sure if that hole is an overflow for the lower unit or what? But it sure does smell like gas...and it's weird it just comes out without it running or anything. The boat is just sitting...

Just a suggestion ...Pull your engine cover and check your spark plugs and carburetors. I had my motor serviced by a good shop and they forgot to tighten the spark plugs and the gas was blowing by the plugs and weeping down to the lower unit. I pulled the cover and found the source. All of the plugs were just finger tight.

Can you take a picture of it from a little bit further away? It might help us to point you in the right direction.

If it's a carbureted motor, and you tilt it to transport, fuel can run out of the float bowls. It has to go somewhere, and gravity is always on.
