I have a 99’ 187 Elite that is in great condition. My 99’ Mercury 175EFI dropped a cylinder a few weeks back. My local Mercury dealer has a new powerhead for it, but is having trouble with the repair ? of my injectors. I have heard the 2.5 is hard to get injectors and or repair?

You have to repower that boat that is my fav ChamP, had he same!!! I had a power head replaced and they are finicky and fragile. Not to many good stories for new powerheads that I know of. Days of wide open across the lake and back are gone. GL hope it works for you.
GL bowhunting as well. I do a lot of that in SE KS.

There may be better deals, but C&O is typically the go to dealer for parts & such. I'd check with you local dealers as well. They may price it right if they know you're looking at other sources.

Up to you, but you'll severely limit your price with a blown engine. If I were not going to repower, I'd definitely look at a rebuild from one of the professional rebuilders. I don't think I would use a local shop. You may have to drive a bit, but you'll get a job that they will stand behind.

Back on the water, fishing a tournament on Truman today. I had no less than six people ask what year my Champ was, they couldn’t believe how good of shape it is in! Oh ya, it is running gooood.
