Hopefully you will have it by the middle of August. The waiting is a killer but you will forget all about it once you have a chance to get in and drive it. I waited 16 weeks to the day from ordering to picking it up but it was mostly winter months so it wasn't too bad.

If you don't mind me asking sir, what does a rig just like that cost? I am interested in buying one myself. Thank you!

If you go to rangerboats.com and use the “build your own” option, you can price any model exactly as you want.

Point 1, BBT gimble mounts front and back ( I Do not like flush mounted units ), remote drain plug and change all your batteries to 31 series AGM starting and wet cells for trolling motor they will work fine and are less expensive. Where did you order your boat ?

Still waiting to find out when she'll be here. Dealer is stating some time around Aug 13 - 15. Fingers crossed it doesn't go any farther than that. My patience is running thin and leading to anxiety.

My dealer was several thousand below the Ranger website. The price for each add on was the same, but then he took off like 3k at the end. I also bought my powerpole, 2 HDS 12’s, agm batteries, precision sonar mounts and Ultrex separate...saved a ton on markup and dealer prep costs. I just have to install it now

Same for me...I bought my electronics directly from the dealer along with a few other goodies. Their prices were well below the prices listed on the Ranger site.

Manual jackplate...great for mounting power poles and gives your passenger a ton more room in the rear due to the fact the engine is pushed back.

Now that you have added the hydraulic plate, just be alert to the fact that the added weight and change in balance point of the boat might necessitate a corresponding prop change for best performance. On the other hand, if everything is set up at the factory, presumably they will take this into account when installing a prop. Sounds like you are going to have a great rig!

Congratulations!!! You're gonna LOVE that 518!!! I agree with cwalsh ... Upgrading to an AGM cranking battery is a good idea ... If you do it now, it won't be quite as painful as it will later. I don't know if anybody else mentioned this, but I had them install a Mercmonitor in place of the tach. I love mine!

If you running Lowrance, I would get the Mercury Gateway Module. It's so much easier to see on the graph especially if your running a 12", than a little dial. When I going to run on plane, I have a screen setup with a map, 2d sonar and engine data.
