Interesting point, so how will you verify ownership in the future? With the price of used boats, I would want to make sure the person selling it actually owned it.

I also am disappointed that the title requirement was changed.
For a comparison, most construction equipment in Illinois is not titled that I am aware of.
I bought a very expensive backhoe a few years ago and had no way to verify that the seller owned it or if there was a lien on it.
I was OK because the seller was a friend of mine.
