    Set up help

    2018 20 PHX
    Mercury Pro 250XS
    25p Fury
    Bob's 10" hydro
    36v Ultrex 112
    4 31 batteries
    fishing load
    2/3 fuel

I'm really looking for set up help first time with a hydrolic Jack plate long time champion owner and having trouble getting it just right either to much chine walking or just not performing at top speed
any help with setup would be much appreciated

When it's chine walking, it's wanting/trying to perform. It's lifting up like it's suppose to, it has to be driven. You have to learn to control the chine walk. Not many boats run more than 65-70 without driver input to control the chine. The higher you go with the jp, the less trim you should need. Seat time is your friend. I would set the propshaft at 3.5" below the pad and leave it there until you learn the boat. Use your trim to control the chine. If it gets too much, bump the trim down. Now when you almost get to speed and trimmed out where it wants to start chine walking, pull it to the left and hold it in a very slight left veer. Then as you ease pressure off of left to straighten it back up, you will feel the boat want to tilt back right, let it straighten up and before it tilts right, put pressure back left to hold it there, and it kind of becomes a left pressure....off, left pressure....off, and so on. if it gets too loose, bump the trim down 2 clicks and ease off the gas until it straightens up and bump it back up 1 click and hammer down and do it again. Feel and timing gets it done. Soon, you will do it with out even thinking. Have fun.

More seat time or get someone who knows how to drive your boat show you how. That will save you a lot of time and money.
