Looking for a new gps/depth finder for the xb2002

I haven't kept up on all the new stuff so I am a bit overwhelmed looking around. I see Humminbird has a "y" cable so you can put a transducer in the tray and mount the side image on the jack plate. I haven't figured out the Lowrance stuff yet. I hope to keep it in the $600 - 700 range but that is just a guess.

What is the preferred method? How did you setup yours?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Really depends on what you plan to do with it. If you plan on networking the GPS coordinates, transducers, etc...… Go with a Helix 7 G2N, its gonna run you around 800 though. If you don't plan on networking go wit the Helix 7 G2. Give Mr. Powell a ring at Fast Bass marine and Ill bet he can beat any price on the net. He is on this board. Also, that is what I did I used the y cable put a regular transducer in the trey and a SI transducer on the jackplate.

Thanks. No networking in the plan. Just a recreational fishing and we go after more than just bass. Schools of white bass or rockfish are a blast.
