I have a 20ft Triton TRX HP and a 2018 Pro XS 250 motor with a 6" manual jack plate. The PTP is set at 2.5" below. At WOT I'm maxing out at 5600 rpms (smart craft gauge) at 72 mph (GPS) and water psi is at 16.5 to 17. My local prop shop said I should lower the engine .25" or .5" more. I'm thinking this would lower my rpms, not increase it. Also, with this current set up, the whole boat is lifting high. The back end comes so far out of the water that the in hull transducer will lose ground at 68 mph. Any suggestions?
