    Bow prices

I haven't changed bows in several years and since I have a couple trips planed for the next year I went and shot some of the new flagship bows. Omg they have gotten expensive. The three I liked ranged from $1700 to $1000 for a bare bow. Looks like I may opt for slightly used again.

Bows are big money new and drop like a rock after a few years. I buy them used for nickels on the dollar.

I always buy right after the new models come out. Save hundreds buying a brand new old model the shops are trying to move. Flafship bows are ridiculously priced now, with an aluminum riser getting close to carbon riser bows now. Take a look at the obsession turmoil. Flagship quality and performance from an upper mid level price

Yep, I bought mine used. It was about 2 years old, couldn't even tell it wasn't brand new and was about half the price of a new bare bow and was nicely set up with qad drop away, and trophy ridge 5 pin sight.

I ended up buying mine on Ebay, but archery talk often has good deals as well. It's amazing how many people buy a new bow every year just to buy a new bow. I couldn't spend $1500 on a bow to shoot it for a year and then sell it for half price, just to go buy another bow that is just different. I can see if you don't like the bow, but just to buy something different is beyond me.

Without a doubt... Last one I bought was a Mathews DXT and by the time I was done I had $1000 in the bare bow then everything added up to about $1600...I haven't shot another bow yet that just blew my socks off so I'm still shooting the DXT...

This^^^ or Ebay. Their are a bunch of guys out there they think they have to have the brand new model each year and they dump some really great bows used for some good prices. I've bought on Archerytalk before (its like the BBC of archery) but I bought my last bow off of Ebay. It was brand new but a better price than I could find anywhere else. Buy a leftover or a used one and save about 30-40 cents on the dollar over a brand new current flagship bow.

your gonna love that halon 32.. I shot a switchback for 11 Year’s and the 32 got me to give it up. If you don’t mind the weight I can’t imagine a better shooting bow

I have shot my sons some, and like it a bunch. My son has shot 11 animals with his Halon 32 since he got it last fall, from whitetail to turkey and a red stag. He was able to put a second arrow in his red stag at 92 yards.

There ya go. There are lots of slightly used very good bows out there that need a good home, looks like you found one.
