Evinrude using mercury prop help

Hi, I want to put a tempest 23 pitch on a 1991 evinrude 200. The prop uses a flo-torq hub and I bought the evinrude hub kit but one you put the prop on there is not enough room left to put the nut on. Has anyone ever done this? If so how do you do it? Thanks in advance

I run a tempest on my 2001 225HO carbed Johnson. I used the Merc hub kit that ends in Q2 works just fine.

Works on my 03 DFI with Bravo props.

Hey Champ, is the 1991 model year the thicker shaft ? I know it changed somewhere around that year.
OP, if your shaft is the thicker shaft I found the Michigan Wheel hub kit worked better on my 08 200HO.
