Fished a tuesday night tournament at a lake by the house the other night. While we were waiting to start, this guy asked me how fast my 22SF is. I replied, "I have only had it to 82 so far, im guessing it would run 84-85 if i tried real hard". His reply was , "Is that all? Hell, i run 86 all the time in mine! I thought Bullets were supposed to be fast" I guess im gonna have to sell mine and get a Nitro now.

Yea, I know a guy with a Nitro Z7 with a 150 and tells everyone he gets 68 with full fuel and over 70 light. I’ve offered to verify that with my GPS. He always declines though.

Yeah no way, I'm sure i could remove everything within reason from my Z18 w/175 and come nowhere near. (usually 62-65 for me depending on load)

Funny people out there, imo speed doesn't mean much until you're in a tournament setting.

I love talking to these kind of people because when it's time for the rubber to hit the road the excuses they have will be a mile long. I'm loaded to heavy today, ain't got my speed prop on today, waters to rough, too much fuel. Blah blah blah blah.

Ha! Yeah, by now i have heard most all of them! It was always fun out running those 90mph Tritons with 225's when they first came out. Usually only needed to break 72 to do it. lol

You never know, may be a sleeper. I've run across a few. Had a 20' triton outrun mine and a few other bullets on lake Concordia.

And itll run 87 if you can run 86. I just go with 1mph faster than they say every time- which is usually 10-12mph faster than i need to be in reality

I have had quite a few people ask me how fast I was going when I passed them, because they were running 72, 73, 74, etc when I passed them. Most of the time I was only running 70 or so. If I have a passenger I rarely run more than 65-70 just because.

Not much! Tackle and a chewed up prop. Someday i'll catch up to those 65mph Strangers!
