I have a 1993 Javelin 363FS that I love. When you say "stable at rest", exactly what do you mean?

Referring to being stable( not tippy from side to side) while sitting still or using trolling motor.
I thought that's what you probably meant but just wanted to check. My Javelin 363 is very stable sitting still. It's 16'8". Keep in mind that my boat in 1993 was labeled a 363. In the mid to late 90's it was a 367, then a 369, then became a 17 Venom in 1999, then the Stratos 170 in 2002 when Genmar took over the boat building operation from OMC. Genmar dropped the Javelin brand. So a Javelin Venom 17 (1999-2001) and a Stratos 170 (2002-2006) is the absolute exact same boat. Built from the same mold. Just FYI when you're shopping around.

My 273 is stable as can be 17'3", can't remember the beam but 86" sounds right

I've got a '02 Javelin 180 which is 17'6" and it's very stable and handles rough water really good and has a great ride.
Agree my 273 is for a 17fter
I have a 96 Javelin 369 se and it’s nice and stable even when I stand on the edge....I’m 280 lbs
