    Deep Diving Crankbait Baitcasting Rod & Reel

    I am looking to purchase a dedicated baiting casting rod & reel for deep diving crank baits. Any suggestion's! Thanks!

    I agree with the question, “what is deep?”

    reason being i throw 6xd’s on different roads than a 5xd or a 10xd.... 6xd’s get a loomis Cbr 906. 5’s get an 845 loomis, 8’s and 10’s get a 903 swimbait rod....

    so really depends on what is deep?

    Mojo bass glass cranking rods is what I am using now and really like them
    7'8" MH for 8/10 series cranks
    7'4" M for 5/6 series cranks
    Both paired with a Lews MB in 5.6:1

    Dobyns 805 all day and I use an Abu Winch.

    Any of the Powell 755 for a 5xd or similar, any bigger I’d suggest the 805’s. Either with a Daiwa Tatula 6:3:1 or 5:4. I use the 14 lbs sunline fc sniper line.

    ^^ this. 10 Xd down to 3xd the dobyns 805 rm handles all of them great.
