    Trouble with cover and Ultrex

I have a 921 ProXp and I have trouble getting the cover on with the Ultrex. Any tips? Prop facing inside or outside in TM? Shaft slid all the way down or up some? Just wondering works best for you guys.

Turn prop in and pull ultrex way up on the mount. Works that way on my 919 and friends 921 phx

On my 721 I have to turn the prop out and keep it a little higher than normal for a good fit. I can put it down some but it's tighter than I like.

I took mine to a shop and had them sew in a strip of material so that everything fits as it should - I also have a 360 and a 52" ultrex.

Same on my 2015 triton 189trx looks just like the fortrex so don’t know what’s up.

Sounds like prop in or out will work. I was just afraid with it out that the cover was putting to much pressure on the prop and was going to bend or break it.

On our boats the angle or the TM puts the head unit out more and it gets a lot of pressure from the tarp. The ultrex head unit is not as sturdy as the fortex. By turning it in takes some pressure off of it.

Another question for you guys, do you always put the support poles on when trailering?

Yes I do - its a pain but it keeps the cover very tight and positioned as it should be.

Depends on the distance. I tow a lot locally (within 1 hour) without the supports and no problems but on the longer hauls I put the supports in.

Yes, support poles on, windshield(s) off, Ultrex prop to the outside with folded towel over blades.
I have a 921 and never have to move Ultrex to have cover fit this way.

I have a 819 with a 45" ultrex. I have towed as far as South Carolina to Lake Champlain. I always keep the prop out and head in and put the prop cover on plus a small piece of towel on the fin of the trolling motor to take the direct stress off of the cover. So far no problems. Also, always put the exoskeleton on and don't forget the four back buttons.
Gotta say it is an awesome cover. Love the fit!!!!
