Are you going back with a bench seat or are you going to 2 single seats ? I did my conversion on a 2002, 205vs and it is a little challenging, but very doable and mad a world of difference !! Here's how I did it

Just did mine, like getting a new boat.

go with carpeted aluminum. Very clean and looks factory. My seat pan is screwed into the front bulkhead lip and the rear deck vertical surface behind seats.

I took some measurements and determined the angle for the bend of the pan and gave it to a fabricator. Costs ranged form $100-$150. 1/8" aluminum. Do yourself a favor and have a front lip on the pan too, it will add rigidity.
