Lightbulb New Echomap Plus software update....

Just check my Active Captian app on my phone and there is a new update for my Plus unit, version 6.20.....looked on the website to see if there was any info but still seeing 6.00....per the app it has a date of 5/18.....

Dam, wish they would come out with a 10" or 12" EM Plus unit.....

Did you ever get a response to the v6.20 update? I had a chat session with Garmin today and he didn’t want to even say one thing about the update sent me to the software page where the 6.0 for my echo map is and no information and def not for my little striker plus that took the update

I don’t know why Garmin is so tight lipped about a firmware update. Don’t we have a right to know what we are installing on our purchases???

Maybe the update is for a yet unreleased transducer for the UHD. We do need a ducer that has downvu and UHD in ONE transducer.

Read on the Australian Garmin Facebook group that Garmin Support told one person that “newer” CV transducers will have the “missing” 3rd down imaging crystal once again. Personally….I find this rather hard to swallow. We already have the GT series.

My guess is that v6.20 has something to do with the June update to the ActiveCaptain website. Would be nice if my Garmin connected directly to ActiveCaptain for software updates instead of tying up my phone for 60 minutes.

The 6.20 Plus update only includes changes related to tests associated with manufacturing. End users will see no difference from 6.00.
