Got exact same TM Tug Rope from Boat Dealer, 3 Dots of super glue to re fasten the clear glass lends top, it was loose, and a new 12v Bulb to light up the pointer arrow.. and that's all for past 29 years . On the 2 TM Batteries I get 6-7 years before replaced. group 27 Interstates.
I had the same one...my cousin has the boat now and the troller worked fine up until 2 years ago when the foot pedal died...im sure if we fixed that pedel the motor itself would still work

3 years 1 month on my last Ultrex. It locked up solid. Spent $250 on parts and could get it going. Neither could the dealership. 1 month out of warranty.

I have a 6-12 volt Plueger trolling motor from the late 60s that still works. One of the quietest motors I ever used.

With the exception of last year, I'd disagree with part. We don't have grass beds here, or stumps. When they clear out for a reservoir, they clear EVERYTHING, including grinding down stumps. It's crazy. But we have a LOT of rock, shale, etc. and yes, boat wake will push you into chunk rock banks so you will go through props.

For what its worth, I'm on my 4th year now on mine. Not sure how old it was when I got the boat. I do think it's probably getting worn a bit.

I had a Maxxum 74 from 99 until 2008 and now have a maxxum pro 80 that came on my boat in 08. Both motors have never needed anything beyond props and pins and other wear items like bushings on the mount. I fish a combo of electric only and lakes where i can use the gas. I also tend to fish lakes that are heavy with boat traffic and wind so im on the motor a lot.
