    360 Power up ?

How long should it take to get ping window to pop up to turn on 360?
I have a Helix 10 G2 mega . I go to regular 2 d screen then turn one 360 power switch then wait. Ive looked thru the main menu to find 360 to turn ping on but havent found it??

It takes a little time for the 360 to be discovered on the network once you power it up.
I'd give it 1-2 minutes then when you have the 360 view available and selected on the Helix, it will automatically start pinging.
When you switch to a non 360 view it will stop pinging again.

What would you consider a non 360 view ? Obviously any mapping page Do you set it on 2d then switch 360 on ? Or in the si/di pages ?

To start it operating, you have to have the 360 view displayed, push the Menu button once and you will get the short cut menu selection to turn it on.

Once operating, when you select a SI or DI view, it stops rotating and broadcasting 455 kHz. Select a 360 view again and it works again.

What I do is turn on my helix when I’m getting ready to put in. A couple minutes later once I’m in the boat with the truck parked I flip the switch for the 360 a minute or so the helix will see it . The only thing I don’t get is sometimes I get a 360 source not found however I clear the message and it finds the 360. As far as I know as long as the helix sees the 360. From the main power menu you can turn the ping on and off on the 360 or the express menu or the remote

Yes, I always see the 360 source not found when powering up. Apparently the Helix is a bit too impatient when waiting for things to boot up.
I'm not familiar with a main power menu on the Helix. All I can see under accessories tab is either retract or deploy 360.

Press the power button once and a menu screen pops up with options to stop sonar, stop 360 ping, change screen brightness, ipilot controls, standby mode....
