Also might check into tax liens. Friend went that way and got 2 lots in a gated community on Lake Cumberland for less than 3 grand.

I like the search features of Zillow better. He would probably have better luck near Hardin, Aurora, and Gilbertsville.

I know a guy who has a lot he was trying to get rid of near the mouth of little river. Needs clearing and and old trailer that needs removed.
