    neko weight

    what does everyone like for a size and style of weight for a neko rig? Sorry for all the questions, trying to learn this rig this next month or so

    Lots of guys use 3/32 weight. I use a 1" - 1 1/2" fine thread drywall screw.

    Get some paneling nails and can cut them short if you want to, nice sharp point makes them easier to insert

    Crappie jigheads with painted on eyes. Get just about any weight you need in white or chartreuse, or even hot pink if you want.

    Cut the barb off at the bend, the bend the remaining hook to form a keeper and cut off the line tie.

    I still have some solid lead solder and just cut off some with a pair of dikes, works perfect.

    #8 x 1.25" decking screws...because I had some from DIY projects.

    The fish seem to throw the screws out when fighting so I’m going to try galvanized finish nails.
