    USA 2000 Ranger Comanche 518 VS Hot Foot and Blinker trim

    Friends,

    Has any of you done this to a Ranger similar to mine if not the exact same one? Just looking for some tips and how hard or easy it is to run the throttle cable and hook it up to the outboard and pedal etc. The blinker trim looks fairly straight forward but never having done this install before I am a little nervous . Any tips and advice will help a lot, thank you in advance.

    I have the same boat. The throttle cable is easy but you do need to remove the seat.you should see a piece of conduit along the bulkhead. That will carry the cable to the bilge,then just route it to the engine. Mine already had the blinker trim but you will need to find the wires that go to the throttle trim. They should be together and are red,green and blue. Tie into those and run new wire to the helm.Now that I think about it,I’m not sure on the red wire,it might be white but will be with the others. Been a while since I’ve seen them.
