SoAl singup to fish the River June 3
The River has won the June vote for our tournament location out of Capitol Oyster Bar. This is a new ramp for most of us and is located just off the Northern Bypass. I believe it is a $5 launch fee. Tournament hours will be daylight till 1:00.

Not sure if yall have seen the river but I crossed it a little while ago and its not good. Might want to change location. Was already in the parking lot at the oyster bar.

Ate lunch there today, ramp is OK & parking area is OK.
Water is scheduled to go down another foot by Sunday (close to normal pool). Tues 8 pm 24.00, 8 am Thurs 29.62, 8 pm Friday (now) 25.05, scheduled 8 am Sunday 24.00 (I would bet lower).
We fished tonight in our tin boat, was able to control boat with 45lb trolling motor; it is moving, but manageable. Water clarity in the creeks is about 6-10 light coffee. Main river is about 10, but clearer (close to normal) except around creek mouths.
More importantly, nice fish were caught.
Barring another torrential downpour, I think it should be pretty good if you like to fish current
