Meh I can't blame the guy, I had a boat once that was a bitch to get started after it sat for a week or more but once you got it going it would fire right up all day.

He asked me not to so that he could be there when the motor starts for the first time for the day. Obviously, if I want to sell then I need to accommodating to the customer. But it’s just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. Am I wrong?

It's a valid request, but it's your boat. Maybe you'd rather keep it. I say that because your trying to squeeze on last trip in before showing the boat.

    Good luck

my efi starts right up every time, when i sell a boat, you can look at it all you want and then if you want it we go to the lake and run it then i will do a compression test while you stand there,if thats not a enough then have a nice day (before we go to lake test we have a agreement on the price and you need the funds)

My friend's 175 XRi starts perfect when cold but you have to add just a wee bit of warm-up lever for it to start after it's warm. That's the only issue he hasn't been able to figure out and he's done his research and is a pretty good mechanic. I'd trust him to work on my motor.

I had a lot of friends that had them. Perhaps I should qualify the statement with "notoriously hard to start unless you knew the secret handshake".

But I will add that nothing sounded better than an EFI idling.
