    Verado Trim tab

    2018 Verado L4 2B546709

Curious why there is no trim tab above the prop on the underside of the cav plate like one would typically see on an outboard? There s a threaded hole but nothing there and it does not look like there is room for one anyhow.

Hydraulic Steering is usually used (even on the 4 cylinder)... so a trim tab is not needed.

    Thanks just making sure.

So I added a Sea Star hydraulic steering to my previous boat with the 115 Merc 4s. This had a tab. Is there benefit to removing this tab since it is apparently unnescessary?

You can remove the tab and replace with a flat-anode, when Hydraulic Steering is in use.
