Repairing popped rivets in rear storage compartment 21xrs

My coangler was getting his stuff out of the boat this weekend in the parking lot and lost his balance and grabbed the open lid to catch himself. This caused the heads to pop off the 3 rivets toward the stern (there are 5 total rivets) that hold the lid hinge to the cap. How can I best fix this? Access to the rivets is pretty much blocked by the lip of the compartment. Any suggestions on how best to rig a fix appreciated.

Take the gas shock off and the lid will lay on back. That should give you enough room to drill out the old rivets and install the new ones.

They put em in there so you should be able to get em back
