    Are pedestals twist or pull out?

    Need to remove the middle pedestal on my 487. Don’t think the previous owner took it out. Needless to say it’s stuck. Are these twist or pull?

    It's a spring lock. Look down by the base and there is a tab it has to be pushed in and then you lift - pull it up. The tab may be broken off....I have seen this before.

    BF pipe wrench can help twist it loose to break free as well. Just protect the post with some padding.
