But it was a nice snake...harmless lol

I would normally say that I'm glad I live up north some can avoid snakes like that but alas I live in the heart of timber rattler country PA...matter of fact the local rattlesnake roundup is in a few weeks. Kinda neat to see the biologists age and sex the snakes and access the microchips (if they have been caught before) to see thier habits and how far they travel

There's more rattlesnakes in our area this year than in years prior.

My neighbor killed one 48" long about 50 feet from my mailbox yesterday.

I've already killed a smaller 30" one this spring also.

Keep you lawns and weed cut back and be very observant while out walking.

I saw a good snake the other day--it had been run over and was dead. I think its species is "Better Dead Than Alive".

We call them "Pancake Snakes" around here.

Family initially said that the snake fell from a tree and onto Adams, but his brothers said Tuesday that he yanked the snake out of the river because he thought it was an alligator.

don't blame the snake....it wasn't raised properly and if it was it wouldn't have a mean body in it s bone....

There is usually more to the story when someone gets bit. Most of them seem to be because of careless actions. Did you all watch the other videos in the link? That was a freaking monster rattler!

Story Update: It did not fall into his boat. According to family members, he picked it up out of the water with his bare hands.
