Was looking to go to the basscat carpet 24 oz. I am hearing very good reviews with it. Any say on here? I was quoted 350$ for 27 ft of carpet and around 100$ for shipping. How much do you think I should be paying someone for install of the carpet? I don’t want to get hosed. Thanks guys.

40 hours of labor to redo most 21 ft bass boats. So cheap install is out of the question. If you strip the old carpet off you can save some money as that is the hard part.
So I ordered the basscat carpet today. 24oz in ash color. I think out the door with shipping I was around $510 bucks. That for 7 ft wide by 27 for long. I have a local shopping doing the install they said it will take 3 days to complete and it will cost me $1,500 for the labor. So around $2000 total.

The shop who is installing the carpet is using contact cement? I thought glue is use?

Hands down the best material to use for Capet installs.
It's labor intensive and the glue that they use is made
for the water environment.
I have seen first hand carpet jobs were done by other companies and results and quality was marginal at best.
As mentioned above labor intensive quality of carpet. Glue used.
Syntec carpet is the best. I see free shipping for boat carpet but when you calculate the amount your paying more for less quality. No matter what carpet ounce states, ask is the ounce state before or after it has been sheared?
Makes a difference after manufactured.
Some good info. I already have at my house ready for install is basscat 24oz carpet in ash color.
Did you check the price with Triton? I got my carpet from Ranger and it cost right around $300 and that included the cockpit carpet which had to be sewn. As far as time, it took me a 10-12 hrs total from start to finish. But, it was over 3 days cause the lids take time.
It was $347 bucks for 8ft wife by 27 ft long.

I think basscat carpet may be syntec, there are only so many places that actually manufacture the carpet. Either way, it's good stuff.
Struggling through the carpet job on my 19ft boat, $2000 for a completed, well done is well worth it. $2000 is not chump change by any means, but there are so many ways in which to mess up the work doing it yourself and to say it's time consuming or tedious is a major understatement.

It is. As is what Ranger and Triton install on their boats. It’s all Syntec Platinum II.
