New Z21 with Mercury Pro XS V8

Ordered this boat in March, they told me it would be 12 weeks. It arrived 4 weeks early to my surprise . Went to go see it at BPS and look what it came in with. I was not expecting this motor, but man I am glad I got one. I will go pick it up and run it on Saturday.

Thanks, I will let everyone know how it runs. They had a 23 fury on motor. They are bringing a few props on test run. They have 4 people from BPS that are going on the test run. They were not expecting any of the new motors in so soon.

Did the test run yesterday, hole shot was incredible. Motor has a slight growl sound. The power of the motor is awesome. I hit 70 mph and shut it back to 60. 70 is fast enough for me. Lots of boats on the water yesterday at Toledo Bend, I will open it up again the next trip out. I did get lots of questions and lookers on boat and motor.

How many rpms were you running with the 23 Fury? Was it stable at 70 or was it dancing around at 70? And were you running a light load or a full load?

    More info
This Nitro boat is awesome, they thought of everything when the were designing. Boat did not chine walk at all, very smooth ride. The top RMM was 5800-5900 and I still had some throttle and trim to go. No doubt in my mine the motor will do more the 70. Had 40 gallons of gas in the boat and 450 lbs of person weight, no tackle and live wells empty. Motor has a very nice sound on hole shot. You can talk to the passenger without screaming at each other during running. I would say it took 3 seconds to get boat up on hole shot. Boat was very responsive to motor, steering was a little tight, but not enough to worry about. I feel lucky to have had nitro put this motor on my boat, I know they still had some of the 2 strokes in house.
All I can say is this motor looks like a beast on the back of my boat and will freaking run.

Forgot to say it had a 23 Fury. I am going to stay with that prop.
