Hole shot was 3 seconds or less. Just opened it up after break in. Top speed with two people, tackle, 40 gallons of gas was 73mph.

    Sorry keep forgetting RPM
it was running 6200 rpms. My last boat had a 150 hp on the back, so this is a major upgrade for me. I can say this, I have ran my friends older 250 Pro XS and the response on this new motor is so quick with the throttle. It will jump going from say 45-55 mph when you hit the hot foot. It is taking me some time to get used to all this power.
I feel like I hit the lottery with this new motor. I was at the bassmasters Elite weight in at the Sabine River last week and the nitro and Mercury people were next to each other, when they found out that I had the new motor, they all wanted to see pictures. Most of them had not seen the motor on a boat. The regional manager for Nitro even asked me to email him pictures of the boat and motor.
I will be at Toledo Bend for the next 4 days , so I will get to play with it even more.
