Can someone please help me distinguish the exact differences between these models?
I know that the G2 doesn't have MEGA down imaging, but does it have chirp sonar?
Is the G2 compatible with the Wide DI transducer for the trolling motor?
What other features separates these units?

There isn't a Helix 9 DI G2 model. There are 2 G2N models; Helix 9 CHIRP MEGA DI GPS G2N, Helix 9 CHIRP DI GPS G2N. Both G2N models have CHIRP capabilities but one can CHIRP MEGA frequency. The Gen1 model and the non-MEGA G2N model can use the wide DI transducer. The Gen1 and non-MEGA units come with the same standard transom transducer ( XNT 9 DI T ). Hope that helps.
