What is the little plastic thing called that goes over the top of the switch in the peddle? Used it last weekend with just the rubber cover on the switch and don't want to do that.

What is the little plastic thing called that goes over the top of the switch in the peddle? Used it last weekend with just the rubber cover on the switch and don't want to do that.
We refer to it in slang as a "flapper". It is an actuator. some are "L" shaped and some are square, depending on which microswitch you have. I suspect since you mentioned the rubber boot, yours is square. That one has been discontinued.

John, can't you use the L shaped flapper and cut the round piece off the bottom and use it.

Ok a great local gentleman that saw this post gave me a 109 MG that has a short. How hard is it to swap out the foot pedal?
