    Braided vs flourocarbon vs Mono.

Each has their applications but you are hearing from a strictly mono sonce forever and would like to hear your thoughts. Bait casting and spinning too! I need to enter the 21st century. Am

Co-poly on all casters, mono on all spinning. I don't use flouro at all. And only use braid if I know I'll be flipping heavy brush/grass.

As you can see, you're going to get every different answer/combination possible. Everyone has their preference. For me personally, I use different lines for different purposes based on the properties of the line. Read up on the different lines and their pros and cons, then experiment. You'll figure out what you like and what works best for you.

I use co-poly or mono on all treble hook baits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and yes
even Alabama rigs. Braid on buzz frogs, spro frogs, swim jigs, flipping grass.
Fluro on jigs, tx rigs, c rigs, swimbaits, flukes, chatterbaits.

This was my thoughts exactly. I use all three depending on what I'm doing. But fluoro most of the time. Figure out what works for your area and your style of fishing.

The only rod that sees mono is top water. Only rods that sees full flouro is cranking and jerk bait. Everything else is braid or braid with flouro leader. Mono on these newer high end Reels is like a carburetor on a new vehicle, outdated and not needed.
