Transducer wires mounting location for Ultrex?

Are yall running it along the base or connected to the Ultrex cable? Any interference on your graph if it is attached to the trolling motor cable?


I have a total scan transducer for the Ultrex with a Lowrance HDS gen 3 on the bow. Anybody else running this setup?

Some have interference, some don't no matter which way you run it. The problem is RF. The totalscan for the side and down imaging uses 455/800 khz. The PWM circuit is usually close to that same frequency causing interference. MinnKota internally grounds the units to try and contain it in the motor, however, sometimes it's the control board wiring itself that causes it. This is one reason why MinnKota doesn't offer a sonar/DI internal transducer.
To your question, I usually run it when I'm rigging down the cable wire sheath and have good success.

I have Garmin sonar and Panoptix on Ultrex with wires running up shaft and along the cable wires....very little to no interference with my setup...

I want to run the totals scan transducer also.
Specifically for fish reveal. Are you using wire shield
and rigging down the inside of the shaft?
