    Insurance question

My policy documents are vague, and I plan on calling in, but does anyone know the issues around a small craft advisory. Say I get to the launch and an advisory is in effect. Let's say I go out and my boat is totalled, am I covered? Looking for a general answer, one carrier said going out with a posted advisory is negligence.

Personally I like to ere on the side of caution in a situation like that where you're uncertain of the consequences of something. You could contact your agent but even then unless you had a written assurance from him telling you you would be fully covered if anything were to happen I wouldn't risk it. There's always going to be calm, sunny days ahead.
