    DI setting...

    Trying to get my HDS Gen3 DI setting dialed in.. my SI I have got that perfect .. see everything.. but my DI is not showing the details as well as my SI.. I get the bottom and the contrast doesn’t show the detail like my SI .. any help..

    I have the same units with 3DSS module and transducer and have the exact same problem. No amount of adjustments will give a DI image as clear as SI. The issue has to be the processing of the images within the HDSGen3. I have recorded Down Imaging logs from my unit onto a microSD card, and viewed them on my computer with Reefmaster Sonar Viewer software. The difference in clarity is remarkable. Thinking about adding a Carbon and using my Gen3 for mapping.

    I'm pulling my HDS unit and just going with a Solix. Wanted a carbon but, side-by-side, there was no comparison with the clarity. This was on the water in a guide's boat.
