Heard a news report that a florida man was vaping and his vaping device blew up, shot though his head, caught house a blaze and he died. I dont vape or smoke, but that is a scary report. I have also heard it is a new thing to do for middle schoolers.

Yep ,, The Germans figured out cigs were bad for your health in the 1930's and it took us forty years later to even put warning labels on packs and cartons ,,, i fear that long term studies will show the same about these things as well as pot use also,,,,,

Is it ? no one seems to know for sure.

I've seen studies both ways good & bad.

I used an electronic cigarette for ~ 5 weeks to help me stop smoking, and none since then. I didn't really care if it was worse or not for such a short time, as long as it helped me get off the nicotine, which it did.

All I know, is when you pull up to a stop light, you'd see smoke come out from a smokers car......but it it's a vaper's car, the clouds billow out like a thunder storm.

Wet lung is now a potential concern with vaping as well...............no matter if the stuff in them is good or bad.

I think vaping was meant to be a short term solution to help people stop smoking. It wasn’t meant to replace cigarettes completely. I know people now who vape who never smoked and I can’t make sense out of it. They pretty much took out the smoke and concentrated the addictive part of the cigarette and call it “healthier.”

I smoked for years, it is a stupid and expensive habit, ( when I started a pack was .25 out of a cigarette machine, $2.28 a carton at the PX). Years ago I was informed of something more dangerous than smoking cigarettes, smoke from diesel fumes, The particles are smaller and go deeper into your lungs.

The biggest e-cig detractors say at most, without any evidence, e-cigs could be 1/4 to 1/2 as dangerous as cigarettes.
I don't smoke or vape, never have in my 57 years, but if I lost my mind and had to do one, I'd vape.
