    Lower Unit Oil

    Does anyone know what the difference is between regular Yamalube lower unit oil and the new HD version of it? I have a 250 SHO and was considering using a full synthetic, but not sure if I should just use the HD.

    HD is made for the SHO, 4.2L offshore, and V-8's. Definitely use it in yours. The difference between the two types is that the HD is made to work with the metals used in these specific lower units. HD will cause probs when used in other lower units with different metals in them
