    2013 Evinrude 250 HO Service

Just got the boat, it wasn’t used much by previous owner
    75 HRS
Seeing almost zero water pressure on gauge until ~ 40 mph
ordered a new water pump kit
A local mechanic recommended the high flow water pick ups that stick out off the side of the case
Are these recommended for bass boat applications. A lot of grass where I fish
Also curious what spark plugs are recommended for this motor as I don’t have a service manual.

Don’t know about water pickups. The spark plug is Champion QC8WEP.

Use this link for the index process and when you order you plugs get 8 of them. http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=322878

Regarding your low water pressure issue; I wonder if it could be caused by your water pressure relief valve or thermostat(s)? My 2011 Evinrude 250 also has low water pressure and is due for service. I suspect it could be the thermostat(s) or pressure relief valve causing it to have low water pressure. I doubt the water pump is the cause of the issue...see link to pressure relief valve, although there is no description of why they are being replaced; except the new valve can better handle the pressure.

According to the bulletin it says this should only be 2008-2010 models? Should I be concerned about this with a 2013? I’ve noticed that I have a pressure transponder solenoid system that sending a reading to the water pressure gauge. No hose to gauge
