    Cabela's Tournament ZX Rods

Does anybody know if Cabela's is discontinuing their ZX Tournament rod series? They are sold out on their website but don't you normally have the option to back order? Hoping they all got swept up because of the special price...

Yes, I was not happy when I went to purchase and they were sold out completely. Hopefully they will bring them back. I reckon the Falcon Bucco is next in line, or maybe Duckett. What's in y'alls arsenal???

They won't come back. None of the Cabela's branded rods/reels will come back.

That stinks, I liked the Cabelas Bass rods they had. Seems like since the BP announcement a few years ago, their fishing rod/reel selection really went down hill. Are They just going to start carry BP stuff? I noticed this year, they quit selling their rods at 30% off. It only went to 20%.

I have no idea about the BPS gear at all. But like msbcguy noted none of Cabela's the stuff is showing for backorder and it's all disappearing from the website. Pretty much tells me it ain't ever coming back. I know I won't be buying any BPS reels (I'm still Daiwa to the core).

Yep, very disappointed about that. I'm a much bigger fan of Cabela's products over BPS...but that's just me.

I went to the local Cabelas today and they had a few of the Tournament ZX rods left.

The Cabelas in West Chester Ohio still has quite a few of them.

They are in the latest Cabelas™ catalog; both rods and reels.

Sucks they are discontinuing the cabelas branded items. I’ve always trusted them a lot more than any bass pro shop branded item, just ses like the quality control of cabelas is way above that of bps

Well, unfortunately I don't have a Cabela's remotely close to me! However, I just went to the website and the Tournament ZX rods were back up!

Oh yeah I saw the ZX rods are back online. I just picked up a 7’ Crankshaft model for throwing spooks. Put it to use today and it was fantastic. I could see this rod being great for chatterbaits and square bills/lipless
