    '95 200 vindicator on 400t?

    Ran boat today and noticed my rpm's at wot was 6800. Last time was around 5300. No plate with 25p 4 blade renegade. Where should I start?

    Where was your speed, higher, lower? Was the prop cavitating? Was the water choppy allowing more air under the boat? I think that I would hook up a shop tachometer first before i changed anything.

    Usually run 68-70, very little chop. Wondering if it could be the prop, it does have a few nicks

    What was it running for speed when you were taching 6800 rpm?

    Sounds like the prop.....or it was trimmed too high.

    I'd suspect the tach, rev limiter would have kicked in at those rpms. Check for loose connections on the back of the tach, and with a small screwdriver switch the pole selector back and forth a few times and set it back where it was and run it again.
