Don't come back to Louisville, get a place out in the country...

Somewhere in between Louisville and Lexington.

Central and west Paducah has become a destination for large white tails. I know of two 185 inch deer killed within 3 miles of my home in reidland. I killed a 160 on my 13 acres last year. Season opens on September 1, one of the few places you can kill a buck in full velvet.

From the looks of your place there I’d start looking around Shelbyville. Hope it works out well for you! I know we are enjoying be close to family.

You have a beautiful home and can see why you don't want to leave. Having said that, I believe we can grow where we are planted.

Best wishes on your move and maybe you can cash in on some of the good fishing and hunting in Kentucky.

I understand that elk have been reintroduced into Kentucky.

Kind of partial to Shelbyville my self. Small town; but very easy commute to Louisville and Lexington. Deer hunting is great also. Had a 195” monster shot 1/2 mile down the road me this fall. Any questions feel free to ask.

I’m very familiar with Shelbyville my in laws live there. Plus I used to own hunting property in Henry county when I lived in Louisville. So I was always out that way.

Looks like the Cedar River is in your back yard. Never fished it but have a cousin that lives in Cedar Rapids that fishes it, he says it is an awesome fishery

Good luck and be safe moving. I like parts of Kentucky but could not live there as sometimes it gets too cold for me.

Grandkids grow up and get their own life. That is the way it is supposed to be. Grandmas have a hard time learning that.
that is why God invented Bass Boats!
i vote Iowa on this one. They will come to Iowa to visit if they want to and it is special.
